I’m a student at the University of East Anglia studying Sociology, with a view to going into teaching. I did A Levels in Sociology, Politics and Business. I also work at a local health club part time.Since speaking on behalf of Mermaids at the Lloyds Bank Rainbow Alliance conference as part of a panel at age 15, I have spoken at several events at Lloyds and for Sage as part of their Trans Day of Visibility company-wide presentations. I also wrote a series of blogs for Gender GP for the duration of roughly 1 year and did a podcast for them which can be found here. I was featured in an article for I News and took part in a documentary with Sky News about puberty blockers. The interview is no longer available, but there is a link to the follow up article here.
We both took part in the Transparent Love exhibition at the Southbank Centre, London in 2019. This was a portrait series of trans children with their parent(s) taken by Amanda Searle. This exhibition was put on by Mermaids and later shown in Portcullis House, where a group of us met with MPs including Lord Michael Cashman and discussed both the exhibition and issues facing trans people today.
We also took part in a documentary regarding Gender Diversity in Schools in 2018. I’ve also been a part of the between_portraits series by Charlotte Hadden.

I’m a self-employed marketing consultant and have worked for over 20 years in the technology industry helping technology businesses go to market in the UK, Europe and globally. I’ve run my own marketing agency, been shortlisted for a number of industry awards and worked in senior marketing roles for a US cyber security company and an accounting software company based in the UK. I’m a judge of the industry awards for IT marketing – the CRN Sales & Marketing Awards. Much of my work in marketing involves not only setting strategy but delivering and writing content such as go to market campaigns and thought leadership pieces.Leo and I had talked about writing a book together since he was very young. Only a few years ago did we talk about writing about our shared experience of Leo coming out, and the idea for Between was born. We wrote it between us from 2022-2024 and are proud and happy to see it coming out in 2025.
